An event dedicated to memory of Alisher Navoi takes place in Turkey
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 1 February 2020, in the building of the Panorama 1326 Bursa Fetih Muzesi Museum in Bursa (Turkey), an event was held in memory of the outstanding Uzbek poet and statesman Alisher Navoi, dedicated to the upcoming 579th anniversary of his birth.
The event was organized by the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Istanbul together with the mayor's office of Osmangazi district of Bursa province, the "Society of Cultural and Social Assistance of Turkestans", as well as the Association of Uzbek Students of this province.
Representatives of the city leadership, scientific and academic circles, diasporas, deputies, officials and students attended the memorial evening.
During the meeting, the importance of the large-scale reforms carried out in Uzbekistan in all areas was emphasized in order to preserve the rich cultural heritage of our country and instill in youth the spiritual valuesof our great ancestors.
At the event, special attention was paid to the historical sights of the cities of Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva. At the same time, all kinds of assistance were offered to interested parties in organizing tourist trips to Uzbekistan.
A concert was also organized in the lobby of the museum with the participation of prominent Uzbek performers who demonstrated modern and classical genres of national musical art.
