Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Republic of Uzbekistan was represented at the Caspian Week international conference as part of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Dunyo news agency reported.
The event is attended by representatives of political and business circles from around the world, including the CIS countries, Europe, as well as the USA, Malaysia, India, South Korea, China, Pakistan, Indonesia and others.
A separate session on Uzbekistan was held on the eve, at which the ongoing reforms in the country, trade, economic and tourism potential, and the possibility of implementing joint mutually beneficial investment projects were presented.
Participants were provided with detailed information about the modern development of Uzbekistan, judicial and legal and political reforms, business conditions for local and foreign investors.
The interest of the Caspian Week participants in Uzbekistan was high, as evidenced by the numerous questions of representatives of the wide international economic community about the opportunities available for participation in economic processes in our country.
During the session, some of its participants shared their views on the presentation:
The organizer of the international conference "Caspian Week" Shirin Seidnepesova:
“We are pleased with the participation of Uzbekistan in the international conference, which is a wide platform for the presentation of positive changes taking place in the republic.
Our company has been organizing this event for several years as part of the World Economic Forum in Davos, and we have long been observing the high interest of the international business community in your country against the background of liberalization of its economy in all aspects.
Today’s session on Uzbekistan has shown the need for a wider representation in Davos.
Former Minister in several positions of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Honorary Lecturer of the World Economic Forum Faisal Saleh Hayat:
- Against the backdrop of growing economic challenges in the world, the Davos Economic Forum plays an important role in unifying and harmonizing the economic interests of the participating states.
Participation in the events held within the framework of Davos allows us to approximate the positions of the countries of the world in the technological, industrial and, finally, social spheres.
All countries of the world, including Uzbekistan, must use this platform.
Uzbekistan is a country with huge economic and human potential, strategically advantageous geographical location and rich resources. I am sure that our cultural background is a good basis for the further development of economic relations at all levels.
Taking this opportunity, I wish Uzbekistan further success in its reforms and I am confident that your country will achieve its ambitious goals in the near future.
