Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 7 January, a meeting was held at the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency with Vasil Andreev, director of the Bulgarian company GEOPS Exploration Drilling Services.

This is the first visit of a Bulgarian company to Uzbekistan. FIPA specialists thoroughly acquainted the meeting participants with the economic and investment potential of the country, created opportunities for implementing business projects: from start-ups, PPP projects, IPO and SPO in Uzbekistan.

One of the main topics of discussion was the issues of privileges and preferences for investors, as well as the created free economic zones in Uzbekistan and its economic and territorial advantages in each region.

Vasil Andreev noted that the main profile of the company is geological exploration and mining, but GEOPS Exploration Drilling Services is ready to consider potential investment projects in various areas, including engineering. A list of companies for sale and information on the privatization of land for the implementation of investment projects for foreign companies was requested.

The representatives of the company were presented with the official Investment Portal of Uzbekistan, where projects are currently presented in the context of industries and regions. In addition, an electronic trading platform, e-auksion.uz, was introduced, through which the sale and purchase of state assets are realized.

At the end of the meeting, the parties agreed to discuss in more detail cooperation on a number of potential projects with the participation of representatives of the responsible departments.
