Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In order to expand the export supply of Uzbek products to the markets of the European Union with the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the Federal Republic of Germany, Uztekstilprom Association enterprises will take part in the international exhibition of home textiles and Heimtextil 2020 fabrics in the German city of Frankfurt am Main.

The delegation of Uzbekistan, consisting of representatives of the Uztekstilprom Association and a number of large domestic production companies, will present the export and investment opportunities of the textile industry of Uzbekistan at the exhibition.

According to the information of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Germany, as part of the visit of the Uzbek delegation to Frankfurt am Main, a number of meetings are also planned with potential German importers of textile products to establish partnerships and conclude export contracts.

“Heimtextil” (International Trade Fair for Home and Contract Textiles) is an international exhibition-fair of home textiles and fabrics for interior decoration, which has been held annually since 1971.

Participants in the annual exhibition are world-famous brands and individual artists from Germany, Italy, Spain, Australia, Greece, Bulgaria, Finland, Slovenia, Turkey, India, Hong Kong, Pakistan, Taiwan, China, Russia and other countries.

Last year, the Heimtextil exhibition was visited by more than 70 thousand guests from 135 countries, and the total number of exhibitors reached about 3 thousand companies.

Exhibitors from Uzbekistan also have experience demonstrating their collections at Heimtextil. Based on the results of participation in this exhibition in 2019, the delegation of our country concluded contracts for the supply of textile products for US$18.2 million.
