Experts from Belarus familiarize themselves with the concept of Victory Park
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In 2020, the world community will widely celebrate an important historical date - the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory in World War II.
Victory Park in the city of Tashkent, which will be built on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in World War II, will be the embodiment of the devotion of our people to their homeland, worship of the immortal feat and blessed memory of those who gave their lives for peace and freedom.
The concept of Victory Park in Tashkent was developed in accordance with the initiatives of the head of state put forward in 2017-2019 at the celebrations dedicated to 9 May, as well as with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On a worthy celebration of 75 anniversary of the Victory in World War II ”from 23 October 2019.
In developing the Concept, proposals and recommendations of the Cabinet of Ministers, ministries of defense, foreign affairs, internal affairs, culture, the State Security Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Republican Center for Spirituality and Education, the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, Nuroniy Foundation, Union of Writers, Creative Union of Journalists, Uzarkhiv Agency, Uzbekkino National Agency, On the national television and radio company of Uzbekistan, the khokimiyat of the city of Tashkent, leading museums and other relevant organizations, scientific and creative public were also used.
In particular, the Republic of Belarus provides active support. A seminar was held at the State Museum of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the participation of the staff of the institution “Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War”. Here, foreign experts got acquainted with the concept of Victory Park.
“During the war years, the people of Uzbekistan,” said Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan for educational and ideological work, Major General Azizbek Ikramov, “received about 1 million people, including 200 thousand children, from the frontline areas, warmed them with his kindness, and sometimes shared the last piece of bread. From that time on, from time immemorial, humanism, mercy and generosity inherent in our people were especially vividly manifested. When creating the concept of Victory Park, the experience of a number of foreign countries in the creation of such parks and squares, memorial complexes was studied. And we are sure that the created Victory Park will become one of our favorite attractions, both for citizens of our country and for tourists.
As noted, Gulshoira Magametova, an architect, an employee of the Ministry of Construction of the Republic of Uzbekistan, covered terraces decorated in national style will be built in different parts of the park, equipped with electronic equipment to obtain information on the theme of Victory Park. A separate panel and special platforms will be created with emblems, flags, maps of 35 states-winners in the Second World War. To create a historical atmosphere of the era, wartime music and information messages of those years will be broadcast here.
