Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Poland with students from Uzbekistan studying at Polish universities, as well as with compatriots temporarily residing in that country, Dunyo reported.
The participants of the event received detailed information about the ongoing reforms in Uzbekistan, the preparations for the upcoming parliamentary elections, as well as the consular legal assistance provided to the citizens of our country.
At the meeting, special attention was paid to the policy of the leadership of Uzbekistan in relation to compatriots living in foreign countries, as well as to the tasks of the country’s diplomatic missions in this area.
Also, a number of presentations on such relevant topics as “The Significance of the Law on the State Flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan”, “The Role of the Basic Law - the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the ongoing large-scale reforms in the country”, “The upcoming elections to the Legislative Chamber of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan” were presented to their attention. and others.
The consistent development of the system of social protection of the population, the special attention of the leadership of Uzbekistan to ensuring the employment of university graduates, for whom guaranteed jobs were created, were especially noted.
As students emphasized in their speeches, Uzbeks are proud that according to the results of recent years, Uzbekistan is among the five countries with the fastest growing economies according to the rating of the World Economic Forum. A strong social policy and the development of the principles of social partnership make it possible to positively address the issues of further development of the labor market, increasing the income of workers, and providing employment for young specialists.
If in 2018 about 400 students from Uzbekistan studied at Polish universities, then this year the number of enrolled Uzbek youth amounted to more than 1,200 people, most of them studying at leading universities in the economic field.
