Uzbekneftegaz begins to develop cooperation with the Norwegian company Equinor

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 13-14 November, Chairman of the Management Board of Uzbekneftegaz B. B. Sidikov received the delegation of Equinor. This was reported by the press service of Uzbekneftegaz JSC.
Equinor, formerly Statoil, is Norway’s largest energy company engaged in the development of oil, gas and solar energy in more than 30 countries around the world. 67% of the company’s shares are owned by the state of Norway.
Within the framework of the meeting, perspective directions of cooperation in the field of geological exploration at the investment blocks of the Republic of Uzbekistan were discussed.
Also, the Norwegian side announced its readiness to organize advanced training of specialists of Uzbekneftegaz in their company and share experience in corporate transformation.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached on signing a Memorandum of Understanding for the transition to practical implementation of the development of cooperation.
