Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The 14th International Technical Competition “Isuzu I-1 Grand-Prix” was held in the Japanese city of Fujisawa, in which a group of specialists from the Samarkand Automobile Plant took part. The team of Uzbekistan took 14th place in group B.
Uzbekistan was represented at the competition by the team of captain Khozhiev Alisher - specialist of SamAvto LLC, auto mechanics of the dealer center of Imagine LLC (Tashkent) Elmurod Makhmudov and Bahrom Tashpulatov.
For the organizers of the competition, “Isuzu I-1 Grand-Prix” is another opportunity to demonstrate the level of corporate culture and evaluate knowledge about the product and work processes among staff.
According to the organizers, such events are a great chance to show their professional status in diagnosing and solving problems regarding any Isuzu product. The participants had to find a solution to complex technical problems in diagnostics and correct them under the watchful eyes of a group of expert judges. Every year, tests and assignments for the contestants are changed so that they can clearly understand what technical problems can be encountered in everyday life and how to solve them as soon as possible.
The first stage is theoretical
The first stage of the semifinal is a test consisting of 15 questions, which takes 45 minutes to complete. Participants must choose the only correct one of the four answers in each question. Questions include both theoretical and practical: some of them are aimed at knowledge of calculations and electrical circuits.
The second stage is practical
In the second stage of the semi-final, participants are invited to solve a practical problem. At their disposal is a faulty ISUZU ELF chassis and a troubleshooting manual that can be used at any time. It takes only 30 minutes to repair the truck. Malfunctions in the operation of the chassis can be either real, taken from the practice of real service stations, or simulated, which in theory can happen at any time, including simple and inconspicuous.
The rivals in the group were ISUZU car maintenance specialists from countries such as Russia, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
According to the results of the competition, the winners of 2019 are:
1st place - Vietnam,
2nd place - Russia
3rd place - Indonesia.
It is worth recalling that in the spring of 2020, SamAuto will hold the annual stage of the Automechanic qualifying competitions in Uzbekistan, during which new applicants to the team representing Uzbekistan will be determined.
