Simplified visa procedures for business circles of Uzbekistan and China

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 26 September 2019, the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the People’s Republic of China on visa facilitation for representatives of the business community, signed on 27 August 2019, in Beijing, entered into force.
In accordance with the Agreement, each party undertakes to issue multiple business visas for up to 6 months within 5 working days.
To apply for a multiple business visa of the People’s Republic of China, citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan must submit the following documents to the Embassy of this country in Tashkent:
Key document
Original passport, copy of the passport page with data;
Application for visa and photo.
Additional documents:
An official invitation from an authorized organization of the PRC or confirmation of this invitation (with a bar code) received with the help of the inviting party in China.
If it is not possible to provide the documents specified in paragraph 3, the following documents shall be provided:
- an official letter from the relevant state authorities, including state and economic management bodies (provided on the website www.gov.uz) and banks of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as a usual invitation from the inviting Chinese side;
- a letter of guarantee from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of the Republic of Uzbekistan, a certificate of membership in the CCI, a license from a company or individual entrepreneur, a certificate from the applicant’s place of work, and an ordinary invitation with a license from an inviting Chinese company.
When applying for a business visa for representatives of the business community - citizens of the People’s Republic of China, the inviting party must submit the following documents to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan:
Key documents:
A visa application on letterhead of the inviting organization of the established form (https://mfa.uz/ru/consular/visa/);
Electronic visa application form completed on the site "evisa.mfa.uz";
A copy of the identity document of the invited person (national passport, or another replacement document used when traveling to foreign countries).
Additional documents:
Certificate from the place of work of the invited person (with translation into the state or Russian language).
