Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- As of 1 October 2019, the resident population of the Republic of Uzbekistan made up 33.72 million people and, since the beginning of the year, increased by 1.9%. This was reported by State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.
An analysis by regions of the republic showed that, as of 1 October 2019, the largest population was observed in Samarkand - 11.4% (share in the total population of the republic), Ferghana - 11.1%, Kashkadarya - 9.7% and Andijan - 9.2% of the regions.
According to preliminary data, as of 1 October 2019, 30.5% of the total resident population in the republic are people under working age, 59.1% - at working age and 10.4% - over working age.
Birth rate
In January-September 2019, 589,700 children were born (hereinafter referred to as live births), respectively, the birth rate per 1000 population was 23.5 per mil and, compared with the same period of 2018, increased by 1.0 ppm (for January-September 2018 - by 22.5 ppm).
At the same time, the gestational age of the mother should be from 22 weeks or more, the height of the baby - from 25 cm or more, weight - from 500 grams or more.
Mortality
In January-September 2019, 112.2 thousand deaths were registered, respectively, the mortality rate was 4.5 ppm and, compared with the same period of 2018, decreased by 0.1 ppm (for January-September 2018 - 4.6 ppm).
Of the total number of registered deaths in January-September 2019, 60.6% died from diseases of the circulatory system, 9.8% from neoplasms, 6.4% from accidents, poisoning and injuries, 5.5% from organ diseases digestion, 4.2% from respiratory diseases, 1.4% from infectious and parasitic diseases and 12.1% from other diseases.
The number of registered deceased children under the age of 1 year made up 5.3 thousand, of which 58.7% died from conditions occurring in the perinatal period, 18.2% from respiratory diseases, 12.0% from congenital anomalies, 2.8% - from infectious and parasitic diseases, 2.1% - from accidents, poisoning and injuries, 0.7% - from diseases of the digestive system, 5.5% - from other diseases.
Natural population growth
In January-September 2019, the natural population growth made up 477.5 thousand people and, compared with the same period of 2018, increased by 36.7 thousand people (in January-September 2018 - by 440.8 thousand people). Natural growth was 477.5 thousand people.
Marriages
For the period from January to September 2019, the registry offices registered 194.9 thousand marriages. In the republic, the marriage rate per 1000 population was 7.8 per mil.
Divorce
For the period from January to June 2019, registry offices registered 23.6 thousand divorces. In the republic, the divorce rate per 1000 population was 0.9 ppm.
The growth of registered divorces, compared with the same period of 2018, was observed in Samarkand (8.8%), Navoi (7.6%) and Andijan regions (6.9%).
Compared to the same period of 2018, an increase was recorded in Tashkent (by 8.8%) and Jizzakh (by 3.9%) regions.
Migration
In January-September 2019, the number of arrivals made up 117.6 thousand people (internal - 115.6 thousand people, external - 2.0 thousand people), and the number of departures - 126.1 thousand people (internal - 115, 6 thousand people, external - 10.5 thousand people).
The balance of migration reached minus 8.5 thousand people and, in the same period of 2018, minus 11.7 thousand people.
A high level of migration balance falls on Kashkadarya (minus 4.9 thousand people), Samarkand (minus 4.0 thousand people), Tashkent (minus 3.5) regions and the Republic of Karakalpakstan (minus 3.3 thousand people). A positive migration balance was noted in Tashkent (plus 19.3).
The demographic situation in the capital.
As of 1 October 2019, in the capital of the Republic of Uzbekistan - Tashkent, the resident population was 2554.9 thousand people and, since the beginning of the year, it increased by 45.0 thousand people, or 1.8%.
In January-September 2019, 37.3 thousand born children were registered. The birth rate per 1000 population was 19.7 ppm and, compared to the same period of 2018, it increased by 1.7 ppm (in 2018 - 18.0 ppm).
The number of deaths in January-September 2019 reached 11.7 thousand people, of which 454 were children who died before the age of 1 year.
The mortality rate was 6.2 ppm and, compared to the same period of 2018, it decreased by 0.2 ppm (in 2018 - 6.4 ppm).
The natural population growth of the capital made up 25.6 thousand people and, compared with the same period of 2018, increased by 4.1 thousand (in 2018 - 21.5 thousand people).
The registry offices in January-September 2019 registered 14.9 thousand marriages and 3.4 thousand divorces. The marriage rate per 1000 population was 7.9 ppm and, compared to the same period of 2018, increased by 0.2 ppm (in 2018 - 7.7 ppm).
The divorce rate per 1000 population was 1.8 ppm and, compared to the same period of 2018, increased by 0.1 ppm (1.7 ppm in 2018).The growth of registered marriages, compared with the same period of 2018, was observed in Kashkadarya (7.0%), Khorezm (4.2%), Samarkand (3.4%) and Ferghana (3.4%) regions.
