Implementation of Gazprom projects in Uzbekistan discussed

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 22 October, a meeting was held with a delegation led by the managing director of Gazprom EP International B.V. (Russia), Andrei Stepanovich Fik, and Sidikov Bakhodir, Chairman of the Board of Uzbekneftegaz JSC, to discuss issues related to the implementation of Gazprom EP International B.V.’s projects in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed joint projects for geological exploration in the investment blocks of the Republic of Uzbekistan (Bukhara-Khiva oil and gas region, West Ferghana, Chinabad, Uzunkuinsky, Surkhansky, Chegaro-Tagansky, Kossorsky investment blocks).
Until the end of November this year, Gazprom is expected to make a corporate decision to participate in geological exploration at the Chegara - Tagman investment block, as well as in January 2020 at the Chinibad, Uzunkuinsky, and Kossorsky investment blocks.
The parties also considered accelerating the development of a feasibility study for a project to develop the Jel deposit in the Ustyurt region of the Republic of Uzbekistan under the terms of the Production Sharing Agreement. Completion of the feasibility study of the project is planned in July 2020.
Along with this, we discussed the further development of the activities of UzLITIneftgaz JSC under the Strategic Cooperation Agreement between Gazprom PJSC and Uzbekneftegaz JSC dated June 2, 2017 on the creation of a scientific and technological center based on the company.
