Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A number of agreements were signed within the framework of the Central Asian Energy Forum held in Tashkent.
Agreements were signed on the basic conditions for construction projects in Uzbekistan on the basis of PPP (Public Private Partnership) thermal power plants with a capacity of 1250 MW and wind power plants with a capacity of up to 1000 MW.
The agreement was signed between the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the company “ACWA Power” (Saudi Arabia).
A contract was signed providing for the supply of electricity from Uzbekistan to Afghanistan. It was concluded for 10 years on a take-or-pay basis on the Surkhan-Puli-Khumri power transmission line under construction between the National Electric Networks of Uzbekistan JSC and Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) (Islamic Republic of Afghanistan).
The volume of supplies at the initial stage will be 4.2 billion kW. h, with a subsequent increase to 6 billion kW. hours
Uzbekneftegas JSC and Air Products (USA) signed a Roadmap for interaction on a synthetic liquid fuel production project based on purified methane from the Shurtan Gas Processing Plant (GTL plant).
The document envisages the American company joining the project, and a Roadmap for the implementation of the Chemical Construction Project complex in the city of Yangiyer, together with Uzkimyosanoat for the production of ammonia and urea.
