BTEC project launched in Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 11 September 2019, the Republican Higher School of Business and Management (Higher School) held an official launch ceremony for a project, aimed at improving the system of secondary specialized and vocational education in Uzbekistan, organized jointly with the Pearson Group on initiated by the National Project Management Agency.
The ceremony was attended by the leadership of NAPU, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education, foreign and other guests of honor. Welcoming the participants and guests of the ceremony, the director of the Higher School of Economics Rustam Abduraupov spoke about the implementation of the “Five Initiatives” put forward by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and drew attention to the high importance of this project in the field of education of our country.
Continuing the event, a speech was made by the Deputy Director of the NAPU and the First Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education, who told the audience about the timeliness and scale of the project, further development strategies and the reasons for choosing this partner. Marek Yakimovich, Pearson’s vice president for Central and Eastern Europe, introduced the company, its achievements and revealed the goals of future cooperation. He separately emphasized that the field of education today is the main activity of the organization.
In the final part of the ceremony, college directors were awarded certificates. The certificate gives the college the opportunity to train and certify to BTEC’s internationally recognized certification. In the end, the guests were shown a video about the project.
