Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 10 September, Uzbekneftegaz hosted a discussion seminar on the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan from 22 August 2019 “On accelerated measures to improve energy efficiency in economic and social sectors, implementation energy-saving technologies and the development of renewable energy”.
The meeting was attended by representatives of several ministries and departments - the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Economy and Industry of Uzbekistan.
The event examined practical measures and specific steps aimed at improving the energy efficiency of economic and social sectors, the widespread introduction of energy-saving technologies and renewable energy sources.
In particular, in his report on the prospects and main issues of improving the energy efficiency of industrial enterprises, the head of the Office of Uzenergoinspection Alisher Turaev told what measures should be taken to save energy resources.
“In order to increase the energy efficiency of production, we must reduce the specific consumption of fuel and energy resources per unit of output. But for this it is necessary to carry out a number of organizational and technical measures. For example, replace electric motors if they consume less than 40% of electricity. However, for this, calculations should be carried out - will less powerful engines cope with the load,” said Alisher Turaev.
He added that industrial enterprises and social facilities should emphasize the installation of renewable energy equipment in buildings.
“The Presidential Decree states that for 3 years we should save 2.4 billion kW, 20 thousand tons of oil products and 2.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas. And in order to achieve this result, it is necessary to introduce renewable energy sources, first of all, by economic and state entities. This is expensive equipment, but it is in this way that we can save our national fuel and energy resources, which, unfortunately, are not unlimited,” Turaev concluded.
The presidential envisages the implementation of a whole range of measures, aimed at improving the energy efficiency of economic and social sectors, the widespread introduction of energy-saving technologies and renewable energy sources. Among them are privileges and preferences in the field of the use of renewable energy sources, the mandatory installation of certified solar water heating plants for hot water supply, as well as energy-saving lamps in the design, reconstruction and construction of buildings and structures, and much more.
