“Regional Electric Grids”: New installed electric energy metering devices undergo a state audit every 10 years
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- By Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers “On approval of administrative regulations for the provision of public services for the installation, removal and verification of metering devices (meters) for electric energy, natural gas, drinking and hot water” from 20 August 2019, the Administrative Regulation on the verification of metering devices for electricity, natural gas, drinking and hot water was approved.
From 1 November 2019, public services for checking metering devices will be available only through Public Service Centers or the Unified portal for interactive public services.
According to the resolution, the frequency of verification of metering devices is 4 years for legal entities and 8 years for individuals.
This Regulation establishes the procedure for the provision of public services to legal entities and individuals for the removal, inspection and installation of electric energy metering devices through Public Service Centers.
However, the requirements of this Regulation do not apply to metering systems, as well as metering devices, established by Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On measures to accelerate the implementation of an automated system for monitoring and metering of electric energy and natural gas” from 13 November 2017.
That is, modern electric energy metering devices that currently work with an automated electric energy metering system (ASKUE) are subject to state verification not once every 8 years, but every 10 years.
