The Agreement between the Governments of Uzbekistan and Belarus enters into force

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 2 September 2019, the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Republic of Belarus on cooperation and mutual assistance in customs affairs entered into force.
The agreement was signed on 13 September 2018 in Tashkent during the official visit of the President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to Uzbekistan.
The document regulates the procedure for mutual assistance to prevent, investigate and combat violations of customs legislation. Under this Agreement, the customs authorities of the parties provide each other with information about persons, goods and vehicles that are known or suspected to have been used or may be used in violation of customs laws on the territory of the states of the parties.
The agreement contributes to the development and expansion of relations between the customs authorities of the two countries, as well as strengthening the legal framework for cooperation in the field of crossing of customs offenses.
