Lost Alexandria Oxiana recreated in virtual reality
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A video was created that virtually recreates the ancient outpost, founded by the army of Alexander the Great on the banks of the Ox.
The creation of an animated video is based on the study of archaeological materials from the Kampyrtepa settlement by the Tokharistan expedition. Archaeologists and historians, who studied the historical settlement, were attracted.
Modeling of architecture is precisely recreated in scale and size based on archaeological excavations led by Eduard Rtveladze. Parts that were not excavated were created by studying the topography and similarities of the ancient settlements of Alexandria of those times.
Shokir Pidaev, director of the Academy of Sciences of the Institute of Arts, Abdumannob Ziyaev, associate professor of the Department of History and Theory of Architecture of TASI, doctor of architecture Shoira Nurmukhamedova, contributed to the creation of the animated video clip.
The whole process of modeling the architectural appearance of the settlement was agreed and approved with the academician of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan Eduard Rtveladze.
