Kinder World International Group to invest in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Three Memorandums of Understanding have been signed between the Ministry of Preschool Education, the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the khokimiyat of Tashkent and the Singapore company Kinder World International Group.
Memorandums have been drawn up to comprehensively support ongoing reforms in the system of preschool and school education in Uzbekistan and provide, inter alia, for the active introduction of the Singapore system of education in educational institutions of Tashkent.
The parties reached an agreement that envisages:
- Implementation of the construction project of the “Singapore Education Metropolis” in Tashkent on the territory of 50 hectares and an investment volume of US$100 million. This project will be implemented in stages, over a period of 10 years;
- the construction in Tashkent of a “preschool institution - Kinder World Uzbekistan” for 600 children on an area of 1 hectare and a direct investment of US$6 million;
- construction of an “International School” (including a kindergarten and a secondary school) in Tashkent for 2,000 students on the territory of 5 hectares and a direct investment of US$20 million.
