Laying of rails starts on elevated underground line
Builders of Uzbekiston Temir Yollari (Uzbekistan Railways) started work on laying the first rail-sleeper rails in the section of the new metro line under construction from the Do’stlik station towards the Ohangaron station. To date, more than 2 km of steel tracks have already been laid.
The stretch of road from the Do’stlik station in the direction of the capital market Kuyluk is 11 kilometers and includes such stations as Do’stlik, Ohangaron, Tuzel, Iltifot, Rohat, Yangiobod and Qo’yliq.
In the construction of a new and unique in our region elevated metro line, completely new technologies are used. In particular, the process of pouring concrete pillars for overpasses in a monolithic method has been mastered, materials and components that are produced in our country and meet all standards are used.
By the day of the celebration of the 28th anniversary of Independence, it is planned to completely complete the construction work at Do’stlik and Ohangaron stations. For this, construction work at the stations is carried out around the clock.
Do’stlik station is the first in this direction. An administrative building, ticket offices, rooms for medical, security and technical personnel are being built here, finishing work is underway at the entire facility. For the transition from the existing underground station “Do’stlik” to the overhead branch, a special transition has been built. The station’s apron 120 meters long is covered with marble tiles, and for the blind or visually impaired, special plates have been laid that are adapted to this category of passengers (there are special relief-point signs). The roof has a roof covering, and two opposite walls are covered with a special composite material that protects from direct sunlight.
In order to create more comfortable conditions for passengers at the station, a pedestrian crossing was organized between the platforms, in case it is necessary to go to the other side of the direction. The nearby territory around the station is being improved, a parking zone is under construction, through which it will be possible to go directly to the station.
At Ohangaron Station, construction and installation work is also in its final stages. This station will consist of two floors. The first floor is reserved for an office building, ticket offices and other necessary premises. Second floor - the station itself and its apron part. It has modern escalators.
The total length of the elevated ring road of the metro line, which is being built at the initiative of the President of our country, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will be 54.8 kilometers. The height of the flyovers on the line is 6 meters. The project is implemented in five stages. It should be noted that in the future, when the ring line of the metro will work in full, the average speed of trains on it will be 60 km/h, the interval of trains will be 4 minutes. Aprons at stations are designed to stop 5 carriages. Modern and high-quality subway cars with all conveniences for passengers have already been prepared in Russia and will soon be delivered.
