New Chairman of National Paralympic Association of Uzbekistan elected
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 19 August, an extraordinary report-selective conference of the National Paralympic Association of Uzbekistan was held in the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan (NOC).
It was attended by First Deputy Minister of Physical Culture and Sports Oybek Kasimov, NOC Vice Presidents Aziz Kamilov and Saken Polatov, as well as the sports community. The following issues were discussed on the agenda: a statement on the resignation of the current head of the National Paralympic Association Ulugbek Mirheidarov and the selection of a new chairman.
At the beginning of the conference, U. Mirkhaydarov’s statement was considered and he announced about his resignation. His resignation was accepted.
Next, the vice president of the NOC Aziz Kamilov spoke and nominated Mukhtorkhon Tashkhodjaev, deputy of the National Paralympic Association of Uzbekistan. The conference participants unanimously supported the candidacy of Mukhtorkhon Makhsudovich and he was elected the new chairman of the National Paralympic Association.
“I want to sincerely thank for the trust placed in me. Ahead of us is the Tokyo Paralympics and we must show even more results in it than in previous competitions. I am sure that if we work closely and together, we will achieve all the expected results,” Mukhtorkhon Tashkhodjaev said.
Oybek Kasimov and Aziz Kamilov also spoke at the conference and wished success to the new leader. Thus, the reporting conference came to an end.
After the conference, all participants gathered in the National Paralympic Association of Uzbekistan. There, the president of the NOC, Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov held a conversation with representatives, athletes and coaches of the Paralympic Association. During the meeting, Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov introduced the new leader to those present.
