Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Ministry of Public Education reports that the admission of children to the first grade at 81 schools in the city of Tashkent on an additional quota has not begun.
On 7 June, the Government of Uzbekistan issued a resolution “On approval of the Administrative regulation for the provision of public services for the admission of children to state secondary schools”.
According to administrative regulations, 81 schools began accepting school-age children from microdistricts to grade 1 through the Public Service Centers.
On the basis of the proposals of the population, the Ministry of Public Education together with the Ministry of Justice developed a draft resolution on amendments to this administrative regulation. The paper was published for discussion. The draft resolution proposes to determine the procedure for admission of children on an additional quota and cancel the admission fee.
Admission of children to first grade at 81 schools under an additional quota will be carried out after the approval of this document by the Cabinet of Ministers.
Now children are admitted to 81 schools according to the main quota. The admission of children to schools that are not on the list of 81 schools also continues.
Information on the start of admission of children on additional quota to 81 schools will be published on the official website (www.uzedu.uz) and on pages on social networks of the Ministry of Public Education, as well as in the media.
