Issues of opening the Uzbek-German Technical University in Tashkent discussed
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Khokim of Tashkent Jahongir Artykkhodjayev met with the President for Research at the Berlin Steinbeis University.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which decided to open the Uzbek-German Technical University in Tashkent.
Khokim of Tashkent stressed the importance of training highly qualified specialists in the field of technical sciences who are able to open their own business and manage it.
G.H. Khubua, president of research at Berlin’s Steinbeis University, noted that he had similar work experience: applicants who wish to become university students must sign a contract with an organization for a similar project. Higher education institution, in turn, will be able to help implement and develop this project. In addition, he said that the Steinbeis University of Berlin collaborates with the University of Munich and Karlsruhe University of Technology and has the ability to use effective curricula and experience in joint projects.
The meeting also discussed issues of attracting specialists to bilateral cooperation.
