Temporary employment certificates to be issued to self-employed citizens in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – The Government of Uzbekistan approved the Regulations on the procedure for issuing temporary certificates to self-employed citizens.
According to the resolution, starting 1 September 2019, temporary employment certificates are issued to self-employed citizens.
Self-employed citizens include individuals, who independently carry out service-based activities, work for individuals and legal entities based on personal labor participation, aimed at earning labor income, not registered as individual entrepreneurs and not employing hired labor in their activities.
A labor certificate is issued by labor authorities regardless of place of residence on the basis of an individual’s request for a period of 1 to 12 months at the request of the applicant.
Applications are reviewed within three days.
The period specified in the certificate is included in the seniority of citizens for the calculation of pensions.
Self-employed citizens are allocated preferential micro loans from banks at the expense of the State Employment Promotion Fund.
