Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 8 July, a presentation of the SMART patrol program for employees of the Office for Biodiversity and Protected Natural Territories of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on the Environment was held.
The project was led by international expert Michael Hoette (the Netherlands), who specializes in environmental management and the latest technologies of the Patrol SMART (Spatial Monitoring and Reporting Tool) program.
At the working meeting, the experts discussed the implementation of the intellectual (SMART) patrol system in the territories of the Chatkal State Biosphere and Gissar State Reserves.
SMART patrols - a program used in many countries around the world, makes it possible, using information technology, to evaluate and analyze data obtained during the patrolling of territories in order to determine the quality work of inspectors and to increase efficiency in anti-breaking activity.
The UNDP project is planning to conduct relevant trainings and to begin the implementation of this system in test mode in the current year.
