Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Customs officers of the Tashkent International Airport detained a citizen F.Z., who attempted to illegally import medicines.
After that, as a result of an additional customs inspection carried out in accordance with the established procedure, 200 items of medical supplies called “Model Cu 375” hidden from customs control, as well as 700 such medicines as “MI-KIT”, “Mifepristone 200 mg ” for a total of 98 million soums were found among the personal belongings of a citizen inside the travel bag.
The goods intended for resale were not indicated in the passenger customs declaration and were not stated during the oral questioning of customs officers.
In the course of the inspections, it turned out that this citizen had previously committed such an offense. In particular, in April 2019, a citizen was detained by the customs officers at the international airport “Tashkent” on the flight “Delhi-Tashkent” while attempting to smuggle in drugs “MI-KIT”, “Mifepristone 200 mg” for 74 million 200 thousand soums, hiding all goods in boxes of toilet soap.
As a result of the offense, the citizen was brought to administrative responsibility by the court and a fine of 1 million soum was imposed.
Unfortunately, the fact of a similar offense committed by a citizen suggests that he did not draw any proper conclusions for himself. Now, the citizen will be attracted to criminal liability.
