Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Uzbekistan, on 1 July, launched a dispatching service on social support of persons with hearing and speech problems.
The new structure was formed in Ministry of Emergency Situations in accordance with the Decree of the President of Uzbekistan “On additional measures for social support of persons with hearing and speech problems”, published on 18 March.
A group of professional sign language interpreters has been invited to the newly formed service. If a person with hearing and speech problems is in a difficult situation and needs help, then he can easily contact the emergency services dispatcher service, which is equipped with all the necessary means of communication.
The main task of the Dispatching Service is to provide round-the-clock support of a coordinated, expedited response of emergency operational services (101, 102, 103, 104, 1050) to incoming calls from people with hearing and speech problems, as well as their representatives through technical means (video calls, text messages, calls by means of specialized software and others).
This department will work 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
