A delegation of the Academy of Public Administration pays visit to Bavaria

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Recently, cooperation between Uzbekistan and Germany in the field of higher education and the training of highly qualified personnel has been actively developing. A good example of this is the study tour of representatives of the Academy of Public Administration (ASU) under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Bavaria. The partner of this educational project from the German side was the Hans Seidel Foundation.
As part of a week-long trip, the ASU delegation had the opportunity to get acquainted with the Bavarian experience in improving the system of state and local government, to study the methodology of the Bavarian School of Public Administration and the Institute of Public Service in matters of training and advanced training of managerial personnel.
During the meeting held in the central office of the Seidel Foundation, the parties expressed their firm readiness and interest in developing long-term fruitful cooperation, enshrined in the relevant bilateral memorandum. In particular, an agreement was reached on attracting German specialists to conduct lectures, seminars and master classes for students of the Academy on topical issues of public administration, administrative reform, decentralization, local government, and rural development.
It is also planned by the German specialists to organize trainings on new methods of teaching and training in the field of training and raising the level of skill of state employees.
During the visit, representatives of the ASU also held meetings at the Ministry of Finance and administrations of several regions of Bavaria, during which the structure, tasks and functions of the state and municipal administration of Germany and Bavaria were examined in detail.
In turn, members of the Uzbek delegation spoke about the ongoing reforms in the system of local government of Uzbekistan. The German partners were particularly interested in the state policy in the field of youth policy and the participation of women in the public and political life of the country.
The meetings at the School of Public Administration and the Institute of Public Service of Bavaria also discussed the most effective approaches to assessing the quality of curricula and the use of modern educational technologies in the educational process.
Agreements have been reached on the exchange of teaching materials, cooperation in the organization of the educational process and the implementation of joint projects.
