Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – On 24 June 2019 Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Russia Botirjon Asadov met with the Acting Governor of the Orenburg Region Denis Pasler.
During the discussion of the prospects for cooperation between the Orenburg region and Uzbekistan, the governor emphasized that his administration intends to fully build up partnerships with our country and individual regions, as well as implement joint business projects involving Uzbek business.
The parties reviewed the implementation of a number of joint projects in areas of mutual interest. First of all, it was about the possibility of creating in Orenburg region of the Wholesale distribution center for the operational registration, storage, distribution and further transit of fruits and vegetables under the brand Made in Uzbekistan.
The sides noted with satisfaction that in recent years, trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and this subject of the Russian Federation has been developing dynamically. At the end of 2018, our country accounted for 8.1% of the volume of foreign trade in Orenburg region. Last year, mutual trade grew by 32.4% compared to 2017 and amounted to US$$278.3 million. 19 enterprises with the participation of Uzbek capital are registered here, which operate in the areas of trade, agriculture, industrial production and service. The region concluded partnership agreements with the Andijan, Bukhara, Namangan, Samarkand and Surkhandarya regions of Uzbekistan.
In addition, in the conversation that took place, the Uzbek delegation was officially invited to the East & West International Film Festival. Classic and avant-garde ", held annually in Orenburg.
During the visit, the delegation of Uzbekistan held a constructive dialogue with the president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the region Oleg Avdeev and representatives of local business circles. The Uzbek diplomats made a presentation of the trade-investment and industrial potential of our country, the reforms implemented in the republic, introduced the Orenburg entrepreneurs with the conditions and preferences created in the republic for doing business.
Representatives of Uzbekistan also met with the president of Armada, Andrei Anikeev, to discuss a project to create a wholesale distribution center in the Orenburg region to import Uzbek fruit and vegetables.
During the negotiations, a thorough exchange of views on the future location of the specified object and other aspects of the project took place. At the same time, the parties agreed to explore the possibility of establishing deliveries of Uzbek textile products to the region and the establishment of the Center for Uzbek National Cuisine.
An agreement was reached on organizing a company delegation visit to Uzbekistan for a substantive discussion of this issue.
