The third regional consultations of national human rights institutions of Central Asia takes place in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Today, the Third Regional Consultations of National Human Rights Institutions (NHRI) of Central Asia (CA) was held in the Palace of Forums.
Annual regional consultations has been conducted since 2016 provide the Central Asian NHRI with a platform for the exchange of experience and best practices. Such an exchange of knowledge contributes to the strengthening of cooperation between the NHRI Central Asia and the development of effective solutions to human rights problems, both nationally and regionally.
Following the results of today’s regional consultations, the NHRI will adopt an Action Plan (“Road Map”) to strengthen cooperation.
The Roadmap is expected to further the dialogue of the NHRI in planning its strategies and implementing its mandates in accordance with the fundamental Paris and Belgrade principles, the provisions of the 2015 Merida Declaration, which emphasized the important role of the NHRI in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals and Agenda 2030, Kiev Declaration , as well as other international legal standards and norms in the field of human rights.
