Uzbekistan to host the 32nd FAO Regional Conference in May 2020

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- During the meetings held before the 41st session of the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the FAO and agriculture ministers from 51 states of Europe and Asia supported the initiative to hold 32 Regional Conference Organization for Europe.
This regional conference will be held on 5-7 May 2020 and among the countries of Central Asia will be held in Uzbekistan for the first time. FAO’s strategic goals are to contribute to the fight against hunger, increase the fertility and stability of agriculture, forestry and fish farming, and reduce poverty in rural areas.
At this time, a delegation led by the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Jamshid Khojaev, is holding talks with various countries, in particular, the ministers of agriculture of the United States, the People’s Republic of China, Egypt, the Republic of Korea, Ukraine, Chile, Kazakhstan and other official circles.
During the meetings within the framework of the conference, they agreed to implement in Uzbekistan new FAO projects.
