Creative group “Havas” conquers the hearts of the people of India
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- These days, within the framework of strengthening cultural cooperation between Uzbekistan and India, the embassy of Uzbekistan in Delhi, together with the Uzbek creative group Havas, is holding a series of cultural events.
Thus, in the museum of Mahatma Gandhi in the city of Rajkot, Gujarat, a concert program of the Havas group was organized.
The event, dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the Indian national leader and statesman Mahatma Ganda, was attended by over 500 guests, including representatives of state, public and cultural organizations and state-run media of Gujarat.
The group “Havas” performed a program in which Uzbek and Indian songs were presented. When the soloist of the group “Havas” Kahramon Gulomjonov, winner of the golden disc of India, sang Mahatma Gandhi’s favorite song “Vaishnava Can To”, the participants applauded the representatives of Uzbekistan.
Mayor of Rajkot Bina Acharia sincerely thanked the Uzbek creative team for their active participation in strengthening the cultural dialogue between Uzbekistan and India.
