A delegation of Uzbekistan visits Minsk

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 17-18 June 2019, the 7th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Bilateral Cooperation was held, which was chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Elyor Ganiyev and Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Janitor.
The parties had a thorough exchange of views on all issues on the agenda, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
Following the meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission, specific agreements were reached on expanding cooperation in the fields of agriculture, animal husbandry, textile, pharmaceutical industry, science and technology, education, tourism and culture. Following the results of the IGC, the final protocol of the meeting was signed.
During the visit, the Uzbek delegation held separate meetings with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Dvornik and First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Andrei Evdochenko. They discussed current aspects of interstate relations, including the agenda and program of the upcoming Uzbek-Belarusian summit.
