Gujarat State delegation visits Andijan region
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of the Indian state of Gujarat is in Uzbekistan these days.
It includes officials of the Ministry of Tourism of Gujarat, the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India, state industry support offices, representatives of pharmaceutical, energy, innovation industries, as well as start-up companies studying promising areas for developing mutually beneficial cooperation.
Members of the delegation visited Andijan, where they held talks with the leadership of the region and representatives of the private sector. The meeting discussed the implementation of joint projects in the field of tourism, agriculture, renewable energy, telemedicine, start-up projects. The parties also considered the issue of holding a joint business forum.
The Indian delegation visited production facilities and enterprises of free economic zones, familiarized with the economic potential of the region.
It should be noted that Andijan region and the state of Gujarat are partner regions. A partnership agreement between them was signed in October 2018.
Since that time, representatives of large companies of the state of Gujarat visited Andijan region. During these visits, practical steps were taken to establish joint production in the pharmaceutical industry, agriculture and other sectors of the economy.
The purpose of the current visit of the Indian delegation is to further expand cooperation between Andijan and Gujarat, as well as work on new promising projects.
The guests will also visit the cities of Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara, where they will get acquainted with the historical and cultural heritage and tourist potential of our country.
