Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Malaysia visits Cyberjaya

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 28 May 2019, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Malaysia Ravshan Usmanov visited a special high-tech zone in Cyberjaya, where he held talks with the Managing Director of Cyberview Sdn. Bhd., which is the administrative body of this city, Najib Ibrahim.
Prospects for creation of smart cities in Uzbekistan and introduction of advanced foreign experience in this field were discussed at the meeting, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said.
Cyberjaya is a town with a science park as the core that forms a key part of the Multimedia Super Corridor in Malaysia. It is adjacent to, and developed along with Putrajaya, Malaysia's new seat of government. This town aspires to be known as the Silicon Valley of Malaysia. The official opening ceremony of Cyberjaya was held in May 1997.
Following the meeting, the city administration expressed its readiness to assist in studying the Malaysian experience in high technology zones and jointly develop the concept of their implementation in Uzbekistan.
