Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev arrives in Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev arrived in Tashkent.
At the International Airport of Tashkent named after Islam Karimov he was met by the Prime Minister of the Republic Abdulla Aripov and the mayor of Tashkent Jahongir Artykhodjaev.
It is planned that tomorrow morning, Dmitry Medvedev will meet with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, after which he will fly to Urgench, to participate in the new format of bilateral cooperation, at the first meeting of the joint commission at the Prime Ministers level.
At the talks in Urgench, it is planned to discuss cooperation in the trade, economic, investment, scientific, educational, cultural and humanitarian spheres, as well as the implementation of major joint projects in the energy sector, industry, transport, high technologies and agriculture. Joint documents on cooperation in various fields are being prepared for signing.
A joint commission at the level of Heads of Governments was established in October 2018 following the talks between the presidents of Russia and Uzbekistan to coordinate efforts to strengthen trade and economic cooperation.
