Women’s Entrepreneurship Center established in Andijan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Women’s Entrepreneurship Center opened in Andijan, which is designed to organize work to train women in business skills. The creation of such a center is stipulated by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of March 7, 2019 “On measures to further strengthen the guarantees of labor rights and support for women’s entrepreneurial activities”.
The Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Women’s Committee Tanzila Narbaeva attended the opening ceremony.
The main task of the Center is to attract to the centers assistance to women in organizing their own entrepreneurial activities, developing their skills in organizing and running their business. In addition, the Center will retrain women who have been on child care leave for a long time, find themselves in a difficult economic situation, in occupations demanded in the labor market and in their employment.
The center also provides practical assistance to women informally engaged in handicraft activities in registering and receiving soft loans. Women who want to do business are trained in a special educational program. With the successful completion of special programs, a preferential loan for entrepreneurial activity will be provided on the recommendation of the district (city) committee of women.
To this end, the Women’s and Family Support Fund annually allocates banks 100 billion soums, half of which will be directed to the development of women’s business in rural areas.
