Uzbekistan to have its own industrial gas producer
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A new joint venture created by Uzbekneftegaz and Air Products (USA) will be engaged in the production of industrial gases. The corresponding agreement was signed by companies in Tashkent.
This event was preceded by a lot of work. From August 2018, meetings were held between the management of Uzbekneftegaz and the Air Products. As a result of the negotiations, a joint working group was established, which was engaged in preliminary analysis and study of the needs for industrial gases, such as hydrogen, oxygen, argon, carbon dioxide and rare gases both in Uzbekistan and in neighboring countries.
According to the results of the joint working group, an agreement was reached on the need to create a joint venture, which will be engaged in the production and distribution of industrial gases in Uzbekistan.
The agreement will create the country's industrial gas market infrastructure, localize several types of rare gases, including xenon, krypton, helium, argon and others, and create new jobs.
