MasterCard and the Central Bank organize a forum to combat fraud and ensure the protection of cardholders
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 14 May, the Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan, together with MasterCard, organized a forum “Franchise Community Day” for commercial banks of Uzbekistan and employees of the Central Bank.
The forum was devoted to the study of the company’s activities and best practices in assessing the existing risks of payment card fraud, reviewing established standards and products developed by MasterCard to counter fraud and ensure the protection of cardholders.
During the event, it was noted that one of the main directions to ensure the protection of cardholders is to increase financial literacy. In this connection, this topic was given a separate block devoted to the study of methods of working with cardholders, the launch of special products, programs and marketing companies aimed at improving financial literacy and competence of cardholders.
Speakers noted the importance of developing smart cities, in particular, establishing a system of contactless payments in public transport, allowing to increase customer involvement and increase their awareness of banking products and services.
