Uzbekistan begins to use the port of Aktau to transport goods
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 13 May, ten fitting platforms with 20 twenty-foot containers belonging to Uzbekistan Temur Yollari departed from the Kazakh port of Aktau by container train on the route Aktau-Tashkent.
The first transit container cargo shipped to Uzbekistan became a logical continuation of the fruitful cooperation of the railway administrations of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, China, Iran and Turkmenistan on the further development of freight traffic along the Trans-Caspian international transport route.
It should be noted that today the opportunities for entrepreneurs in the implementation of container transportation in Uzbekistan Railways are improving. In particular, O‘ztemiryo‘lkonteyner and its subsidiaries are one of those companies that receive and send the main cargoes of the railway sector, as well as provide high-quality export-import cargo transportation to various regions of our republic and abroad.
The main work on the loading and unloading of containers is carried out in the logistics centers of Cukursai, Sergeli, Havast. For the convenience of interested representatives and business circles, it is also planned to turn Akhangaran and Jizzakh regions into logistics centers. Each of the above regions have decent conditions for the transportation of goods. Especially for the convenience of customers, the work of bank branches, currency exchange points, ATMs are organized, customs points, large cargo warehouses, and luggage storage of trucks are installed.
In particular, the site of Sergeli of the Tashkent branch of O‘ztemiryo‘lkonteyner JSC is also one of the main receiving and departure units. Currently, there is effective cooperation with major transport companies such as UNICO LOGISTICS, Inter Rail Service, GM Uzbekistan. These transport companies export such products as legumes, fruits, semi-finished grape juice, licorice root to Russia, China, Korea and France. Back in our country are imported paper, metal, building materials, cars and accessories for electrical equipment, etc.
Imported goods in containers are delivered to logistics centers, where the paperwork, customs control and then reach their destination.
