AFC disqualifies Ignatiy Nesterov for 8 months
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Asian Football Confederation (AFC) disqualified goalkeeper of the national team of Uzbekistan Ignatiy Nesterov for 8 months for using doping.
In January 2019, during the Asian Cup-2019, a doping test of the goalkeeper of the national team of Uzbekistan Ignatiy Nesterov gave a positive result.
In an interview with the doctor of the national team, Nesterov admitted that during the Asian Cup he had used drugs for weight loss without the permission and warning of the medical staff.
According to the decision of the Disciplinary Committee of the AFC, the goalkeeper of the national team of Uzbekistan was disqualified for eight months. Term of disqualification expires on 13 October.
Ignatiy Nesterov will have the right to participate in training and to enter into a contract with other clubs from 13 August, two months before the expiration of the period of disqualification.
