Japanese delegation visits Uzbekistan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of representatives of business circles, information companies and regional organizations of Japan will visit Uzbekistan on 12-18 April.
The visit is organized by the Japan-Uzbekistan Silk Road Foundation with the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Japan, the Uzbekistan Airways representative office in Tokyo and the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan.
This visit is the result of the outcome of the Uzbek-Japanese Business Forum organized in Tashkent on 31 July 2018 together with the ministries and departments of Uzbekistan with the participation of the economic mission of the Silk Road Fund Japan - Uzbekistan.
The head of the delegation is the former Japanese vice president of one of the world’s largest media and marketing agency HAKUHODO inc, advisor to the Silk Road Foundation’s Working Group in the field of tourism, culture, education, the famous Japanese businessman Mitsuo Tomari.
The main purpose of the visit of the Japanese guests is to organize seminars in Tashkent and Bukhara with presentations of the Japanese Association of Design and Culture (Japan Inter-Design Forum) on modern directions of development of Japanese media culture and art, the Asian Youth Film Festival of the leading television company TBS "Digicon 6 Asia", tourist potential and local color of well-known areas of Tokyo and Higashikawa (Hokkaido Prefecture), actively cooperating with Uzbekistan in the field of education, youth exchanges and photo art.
Co-organizer of the event will be the Uzbek-Japanese Center for Human Development with the participation of the Embassy of Japan in the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Bukhara State University.
The ancient cities of Uzbekistan and Japan are linked by centuries-old trade and cultural relations of the Great Silk Road. In the spirit of respect for these traditions, the Japanese delegation will visit the cities of UNESCO world cultural heritage - Samarkand, Khiva and Bukhara. During the visit, the delegation will also visit the Alisher Navoi State Academic Bolshoi Theater and the Ikuo Hirayama International Caravanserai.
With the assistance of Khokimiyats of Tashkent and Bukhara, Japanese experts will also familiarize themselves in detail with the development of new tourism infrastructure, modern textile facilities in order to work out joint activities and business projects aimed at the further development of Uzbek-Japanese cooperation.
In order to establish partnerships and exchange views on new areas of cooperation, the delegation will hold meetings at Uzbekkino and the El-Yurt Umidi Foundation under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
