Mirabror Usmanov dies at the age of 71
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, on 15 March, the former President of the Football Federation of Uzbekistan and the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan, Senator Mirabror Usmanov, died at the age of 71.
On 12 March, Mirabror Usmanov was hospitalized in the intensive care unit of one of the medical institutions with lung and respiratory diseases.
Usmanov was the owner of the orders "Mehnat Shukhrati", "El-Yurt Khurmati" and "Dustlik".
In 2006, Mirabror Usmanov was appointed President of the Uzbekistan Football Federation, in 2009 he was re-elected in this position and resigned in 2017. From 2013 to 2017, he headed the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan.
From 2015 to 2018, he served as President of the Central Asian Football Association. It is worth noting that over the years of his work, Mirabror Zufarovich made a worthy contribution to the development of national football.
