Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Russia visited the city of Khabarovsk, where the members of the delegation held a series of important meetings and talks.
In particular, in the government of Khabarovsk Territory, representatives of the diplomatic mission were received by the Minister of International and Interregional Cooperation Vyacheslav Dianov.
The agenda of the negotiations was extensive - a discussion of the current state of already established relations, ways to further strengthen and develop them, the establishment of new contacts, filling the interaction with concrete content.
The embassy held a presentation of the trade and economic, investment and tourism potential of Uzbekistan. The Russian side presented specific projects and interaction programs, including the creation of joint high-tech industries.
In turn, V. Dianov announced the readiness of Khabarovsk Territory to establish direct relations with the regions of Uzbekistan and to explore the possibility of signing investment, export and import contracts and agreements.
In particular, there is a great potential for cooperation in the field of tourism. An agreement was reached on sending a large delegation from among representatives of local travel agencies to Uzbekistan this year. At the end of the trip, experts will present specific recommendations for the development of tourist products that are interesting in content and are affordable, and which will be in demand in Russia.
During the meeting at the Far Eastern State Medical University, the rector of the university Konstantin Jmerentsky expressed his willingness to establish partnerships with higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan. In this regard, the embassy representatives familiarized their Russian partners with the educational, scientific and practical programs planned for implementation. Among them are joint research, e-education, exchange of students and specialists, and others.
It should be noted that 56 students from Uzbekistan study with this university, with whom the representatives of the diplomatic mission held a separate meeting. In the course of the dialogue, young compatriots were provided with detailed information on consular issues, issuing necessary travel documents, obtaining a new biometric passport of a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan for traveling abroad, employment in the homeland after completing education in a Russian university.
At the talks with the rector of Pacific State University, Sergey Ivanchenko, a constructive exchange of views took place on the prospects for attracting experts and teachers from this university to develop and implement professional training programs for engineering and technical personnel for agroclusters in Uzbekistan. In addition, the parties discussed the possibility of introducing joint educational programs of double diplomas for citizens of Russia and Uzbekistan. Preliminary joint projects will be worked out with universities in Jizzakh and Navoi regions.
The university management confirmed its interest in establishing cooperation with the El Yurt Umidi Foundation, which is designed to train specialists abroad and to establish a dialogue with compatriots living in different parts of the world. By the way, 40 Uzbeks are currently studying in this university. In this regard, the interaction between the Pacific State University and the El Yurt Umidi Foundation will be aimed at the full support of young professionals in acquiring advanced knowledge for the benefit of the development of Uzbekistan.
