A delegation of Uzbekistan takes part in International Conference on Liver Transplantation in India

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15-17 February 2019, an international conference on “Innovative approaches to liver transplantation: The way forward” took place in Delhi. The event was organized by the Advanced Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences-AILDS with the support of the Ministry of Health of India.
The purpose of the conference is to study the best practices of India in the field of liver transplantation, the development of cooperation between medical institutions of India and foreign countries. About 300 Indian and international participants took part in it, including delegates from 20 countries, including Uzbekistan.
The delegation of Uzbekistan included representatives of the Research Institute of Epidemiology, Microbiology and Infectious Diseases, the Uzbek Research Institute of Virology, the Tashkent Institute of Advanced Medical Education, Andijan State Medical Institute, the Samarkand Regional Clinic of Infectious Diseases, the Namangan Regional Clinic of Infectious Diseases, and also private clinics of Andijan, Namangan, Samarkand and Surkhandarya regions.
Within the framework of the event, the Uzbek delegation presented presentations on the topics: “Electron microscopy in hepatology” and “New frontiers in the delta virus”.
Also the sides held meetings with representatives of medical institutions in India. During the workshops and presentations, representatives of medical institutions in India and foreign countries shared their best practices.
