Uzbekistan Havo Yollari to invest US$63m to Navoi Airport
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Uzbekistan Havo Yollari (Uzbekistan Airways), national airline of Uzbekistan, will invest US$63 million to reconstruction of international airport in Navoi in 2009-2010, deputy director-general of the Uzbek company Dmitriy Davidov said.
The project will be financed due to US$44 million credit of the Uzbekistan Reconstruction and Development Fund and own resources of the Uzbekistan Havo Yollari.
Uzbekistan Airways and Korean Air are developing an international logistic center in Navoi Airport.
Valeri Tyan, director-general of Uzbekistan Havo Yollari, said the company will start commercial exploitation of two Ð-300-600 cargo aircrafts. He said these aircrafts will carry out five flights to Europe and 8-12 to Southern-Eastern Asia.
