Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15 January 2019, a launch of specialized RoboCraft courses, which will allow children to learn how to design robots and program, was held at the Republican Center Barkamol Avlod.
RoboCraft is a specialized course where every child can learn how to design robots and program. The founders of this course offer an innovative approach to the training system and focus on modern educational models. This model of education helps students not only gain knowledge, but also instantly apply it in practice. According to the developers of the RoboCraft course, it is this technique that will allow developing the necessary knowledge and skills of young students, which in the future will allow them to easily adapt to the professional environment.
RoboCraft courses are the first joint project of the public and private sectors in this direction. The project was implemented jointly with the Center for Innovation, Technology and Strategy under the Ministry of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan and private investors.
RoboCraft courses will be held at the Barkamol Avlod Republican Center. The center was equipped with all the necessary equipment, which will make the learning process easy, high-tech, affordable and interesting. In the future, the project will cover other Barkamol Avlod centers throughout Uzbekistan.
At the initial stage, students learn the basics of programming on the basis of the SCRATCH visual environment and learn the basics of mechanotronics using the example of the Junior E robot designer. This is how they get the primary knowledge and necessary skills of algorithmization and learn to independently manage their own robots.
During the opening ceremony, the Minister of Public Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sherzod Shermatov thanked everyone who participated in this project. He noted that international experience and trends in the labor market require that children learn modern skills, such as STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics). RoboCraft courses are a prime example of the work being done in this direction.
Also, the Minister noted that this project will serve as a basis for attracting investors in the social sphere and developing public and private partnerships on the way to innovative reforms in the field of education.
As the next stage, the Ministry of Public Education, together with investors, is planning to equip Barkamol Avlod centers with modern classes in ICT, robotics, artificial intelligence, machine learning and other relevant areas to train a highly qualified and competitive young generation.
