Azerbaijani delegation studies experience of Uzbekistan in public services

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan Ruslanbek Davletov met with a delegation of the State Agency for the Provision of Services to Citizens and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan, which arrived to study the experience of Uzbekistan in creating and operating the public services system, organizing work with the population, and exchange of experience in innovative approaches in this field.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Justice of Uzbekistan, the parties discussed issues of international legal cooperation, the organization of joint activities in the field of public services.
In particular, the sides discussed conducting trainings for Agency employees and public services centers, creating an interstate working group for implementing joint projects in the provision of public services, launching courses and internships.
It was noted at the meeting that by the Decree of the President of Uzbekistan of December 12, 2017, the Agency of State Services was created under the Ministry of Justice, which marked the beginning of a new stage of interaction between citizens and government bodies. Among its key objectives are the prevention of bureaucracy, the prevention of possible manifestations of corruption, the simplification of procedures for obtaining public services.
The delegation of Azerbaijan praised the work on organizing the activities of public service centers established in each region of the country. They provide citizens with more than 100 public services. Currently, on the basis of public-private partnership, the construction of modern buildings of public services centers in the regions is underway. For the convenience of residents of remote regions, a system of rendering “mobile” or off-site government services has been introduced.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to further expand the exchange of experience in innovative approaches in the field of public services. According to the parties, the implementation of these activities will serve as a good basis for strengthening friendly relations between the two countries and developing international cooperation in the provision of public services.
The visit of the delegation of Azerbaijan will last until January 17. In addition to meetings with the leadership of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Agency for Public Services under the Ministry of Justice, visits to Bukhara and Samarkand are planned.
The guests will get acquainted with the activities of the Center for Public Services of Bukhara, the People’s Reception Office of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Samarkand.
