Botir Khojaev appointed as Minister of Economy and Industry

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A minister and his deputies were appointed at the Ministry of Economy and Industry of Uzbekistan.
Botir Khojaev was appointed as Minister of Economy and Industry of Uzbekistan. Prior to that, he headed the Ministry of Economy of Uzbekistan.
Ravshan Gulyamov became First Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry of Uzbekistan. Previously, he headed the Consolidated Information and Analytical Department on macroeconomic analysis and forecasting, reforming the financial and banking systems, developing private entrepreneurship and small business of the Cabinet of Ministers.
Sahib Saifnazarov also became deputy minister of economy and industry of Uzbekistan. From August 2017, Saifnazarov worked as Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade.
Umidjan Salimov was also appointed as deputy minister of economy and industry of Uzbekistan. Prior to that, he served as Deputy Chairman of Uzavtosanoat for development and marketing.
The post of deputy minister of economy and industry of Uzbekistan was taken by Botir Usmanov. Until today, he worked as vice-rector for scientific work at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies.
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree "On measures to fundamentally improve the system of implementing state policy in the field of economic development." By a decree, the Ministry of Economy was transformed into the Ministry of Economy and Industry.
