Uzbekistan and South Korea sign agreement on mutual cooperation in implementation of health insurance system

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan and the National Health Insurance Service of the Republic of Korea signed an agreement on mutual cooperation in the implementation of the health insurance system in Uzbekistan.
The document was signed in the framework of the meeting of the Minister of Health of Uzbekistan Alisher Shadmanov with a delegation led by the President of the National Health Insurance Service of the Republic of Korea, Kim Young Ik.
Alisher Shadmanov noted that the draft Concept on development of the health care sector until 2025 places special emphasis on health insurance.
The minister stressed that Uzbekistan, starting in 2021, will be gradually introducing a medical insurance system. The Uzbek side expressed interest in studying the health insurance system of the Republic of Korea.
