Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov and Minister of External Affairs of India Sushma Swaraj held talks in Tashkent on 4 August 2018.
According to the press service of the Uzbek Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed key issues of common agenda. The ministers also exchanged views on international and regional issues.
It was stressed in the conversation, the results of the meeting of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on 9 June 2018, within the SCO summit in Qingdao, once again confirmed the strong political will of the leaders of the two countries to give new dynamics to the entire spectrum of bilateral relations.
Both sides are ready to work together to realize the existing significant potential for building mutually beneficial partnership in the political, trade, economic, investment, tourist, cultural, humanitarian and other areas.
The Ministers considered the practical aspects of preparing for the forthcoming autumn the state visit of the head of Uzbekistan to India.
Particular attention was paid to the prospects for cooperation between Uzbekistan and India in promoting the peace process in Afghanistan and its socio-economic development.
